I can’t even begin to describe or explain how proud I am of this photoshoot! It was my first time building a set, so I was extremely nervous of how it may look, but it turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined.

I love the idea of a monochromatic photoshoot, or really monochromatic and complementary colors, but to keep it simple for my first time designing a set, I went with monochromatic. There’s a small play on complementary colors as well because the model’s hair is red.

I do these photoshoots to build not only my portfolio, but the team’s portfolio. I reached out to a previous modeling agency I’ve worked with before, Click ATL, and asked if I could work with any of their new face models. They sent me over a list and once I saw Jamillah, I immediately wanted to work with her. She is so gorgeous with beautiful features and freckles and looking at her portfolio, I felt as if she’d fit this concept perfectly.
